People keep asking about tub setups and how they look and what is used for hides and what do you use for water dishes and so on. So I decided to detail my typical setups for both adults and hatchlings.
On the left is an adult tub. There is a tupperware container in the back over the heat with a hole cut in the top that I use for a moist hide. The hole is on top to prevent the moss from being kicked out during egg laying. The blue bottle cap is the calcium dish and the water bowl is ceramic, I bought it from one of the local pet stores. The black dry hide was also bought from a pet store so each adult tub is not the cheapest in the world but I feel it’s money well spent.
On the right is a hatchling tub. There is also a tupperware container in the back but unlike in the adult tub, the hole is on the side. I find this makes it easier for newborns to gain entrance into the moist hides and prevents problems with the initial sheds. There is also the same bottle cap used for a calcium dish but the water bowl is a 2 oz portion cup. The dry hide is a 8 oz deli cup with a hole cut in the top. You also see a mealworm dish in there as well.
